Wari Duplex Modern Duplex Interior Design in Old Dhaka

Intros Space designed the interior for this duplex in Wari, one of Dhaka’s older and most character-rich neighborhoods. The brief was to bring a refined, modern interior into a home located in an area known for its traditional architecture — balancing contemporary comfort with a sense of place.

The layout across both floors was planned for smooth, natural movement wide openings between living and dining areas on the ground floor, and a clear separation of private bedroom spaces upstairs, giving the home a sense of flow without losing privacy where it matters.

Material choices lean toward elegant, premium finishes refined flooring, detailed ceiling work, and a considered colour palette that gives the home a modern lifestyle feel while still feeling warm and livable for everyday family use.

The kitchen was designed with both function and style in mind, featuring custom storage solutions that keep the space organized while maintaining a clean, contemporary look that connects visually with the dining area.

Bedrooms throughout the duplex were designed with comfort as the priority — softer lighting, calming tones, and enough storage to keep each room clutter-free, creating private retreats within a busy household.

Natural light played an important role in the design, especially given Wari’s dense urban setting — window placement and interior layout were planned to bring as much daylight into the home as possible, making the interiors feel open and bright despite the surrounding neighborhood density.

Lighting throughout was layered to support both daily routines and a more relaxed evening atmosphere, with bathroom and finishing details chosen for durability and a clean, spa-like feel.

This project shows how Intros Space approaches interiors in established neighborhoods — bringing modern design sensibilities into homes without losing the character of where they’re located.
