Doctor Forid Madrasa Complex — this large-scale educational and spiritual complex was designed by Intros Space to create an inspiring environment for learning, prayer, and community life, where thoughtful architecture serves both function and faith.

A Design That Honours Learning and Spirituality

Working on the Doctor Forid Madrasa Complex, our team developed an architectural language that balances traditional Islamic values with contemporary design sensibility. The building form is grounded in simplicity and clarity — clean multi-storey volumes clad in warm brick and natural materials that age gracefully and connect the complex to its cultural context.

One of the most distinctive features of this project is the integration of living green walls across the building facade, creating a biophilic design language that softens the architecture and brings nature directly into the learning environment. Vertical greenery panels alternate with perforated brick screens, allowing natural light and ventilation to filter through while maintaining privacy and shade — an important consideration for Bangladesh’s tropical climate.

The surrounding landscape was designed as an extension of the learning space. Palm-lined pathways, open courtyard areas, and layered tree canopies create a calm, reflective environment outside the building — a place where students and visitors can move, rest, and connect with nature between study and prayer.

What We Delivered

For this complex architectural project, Intros Space delivered a complete design solution. The multi-storey building layout was planned for efficient movement between classrooms, prayer halls, and shared facilities. Green wall systems and perforated brick screen facades were designed for both aesthetics and climate performance. Landscape planning covered the full site perimeter, including pedestrian pathways, tree planting, and open gathering areas. Material selection prioritised durability, cultural appropriateness, and long-term maintenance efficiency throughout.
